My dual 2.5 GHz G5 with 1 GB of RAM plays H.264 1080p smooth as a baby's bottomside. Check out http://www.apple.com/quicktime/hdgallery/ for more H.264 HD goodness.
Now, my G4 PowerBook is brought to its knees by 1080p, but can play 720p relatively Okay.
So this one played okay?

Okay, so this is the test I did. I downloaded an apple 1080p trailer, and yours and loaded it on my PowerBook. The apple trailer played with stutters, but audio was consistant, and matched the video that was playing. No, it was not pretty but it worked. Now, with yours, it would consistently freeze up, and audio would drop. I don't know if this is because of different implementations of H.264 (apple vs whatever you used to encode), or something. I will test it on my G5, but I am confidant it will work since it loaded on my PowerBook and sort of played.

Currently running a AMD 64 @ 2.55Ghz... Along with a 1GB of PC3200 @ 233Mhz... Also I've got a Radeon X800XL 256MB...
I don't know I am suppose to get faster than this...
Isn't this standard for all of the upcoming HD solutions? It seems to me that the HD Players are going to be quite expensive.

Ok, how can I play this? My computer is most definitely fast enough.
Tried it in NeroShowtime and it went slow and crashed.
Tried it in WMP 10 and it says it can't recognize the file.
Tried it in PowerDVD 6 and it says it's encountered a problem and needs to close.
Want to check it out, any suggestions?

Try installing the x.264 codec/ffdshow?
Make sure you reboot?

Installed ffdshow and tried playing it in WMP, NeroShowtime, and PowerDVD 6. Still no luck.
Does anything need to be done besides installing ffdshow?
Sorry for my ignorance.
