Just played it again in MPC, whole thing plays over 20 fps except the part where she starts scanning & it says search, I get skipped frames there... also the explosion part, but other then that its smooth.

Now, my G4 PowerBook is brought to its knees by 1080p, but can play 720p relatively Okay.

So this one played okay?

Okay, so this is the test I did. I downloaded an apple 1080p trailer, and yours and loaded it on my PowerBook. The apple trailer played with stutters, but audio was consistant, and matched the video that was playing. No, it was not pretty but it worked. Now, with yours, it would consistently freeze up, and audio would drop. I don't know if this is because of different implementations of H.264 (apple vs whatever you used to encode), or something. I will test it on my G5, but I am confidant it will work since it loaded on my PowerBook and sort of played.

Humm, it seems the HUD sceens are obliterating my CPU, everything jumps from ~60% to 100%. The sound is also having issues, it gets more and more out of sync the father in the clip I am(though I am not convinced that this is a playback problem).

I can play my 1080i of Band of Brothers just fine... It's only when I go from a bob-ep.001 to bob-ep.002 is when it studders... Any ideas how to solve this?

Currently running a AMD 64 @ 2.55Ghz... Along with a 1GB of PC3200 @ 233Mhz... Also I've got a Radeon X800XL 256MB...

I don't know I am suppose to get faster than this...

Isn't this standard for all of the upcoming HD solutions? It seems to me that the HD Players are going to be quite expensive.

Ok, how can I play this? My computer is most definitely fast enough.

Tried it in NeroShowtime and it went slow and crashed.
Tried it in WMP 10 and it says it can't recognize the file.
Tried it in PowerDVD 6 and it says it's encountered a problem and needs to close.

Want to check it out, any suggestions?

Try installing the x.264 codec/ffdshow?
Make sure you reboot?

Installed ffdshow and tried playing it in WMP, NeroShowtime, and PowerDVD 6. Still no luck.
Does anything need to be done besides installing ffdshow?

Sorry for my ignorance.
