brita clearance at staples

This could be a local (Boston) deal:

Went to Staples today and noticed they have Brita On-tap faucet filters units on clearance for $10 (regular $35), as well as replacement filters for $5 (regular $15). I bought six filters (enough for 2 years of regular use) and the on-tap unit for $40 - $10 (10 off 40 coupon) = $30!!! (Average retail cost is $105.)

They also had some Brita pitchers (either magnum or space saver) for $8.

OH GOD NOT THE NIGHTMARES!!!
lol I bought their ridiculous on faucet mount thing and killed about $20 worth of filters in less than a week before calling up brita and telling them how ridiculous this was. So they held up their money back guarantee crap and gave me my damn cash back, but only for the mount and not the $20 in filters I had to use.

*sigh*

Oddly, my previous filter didn't die that quickly, and my PUR pitcher seems ok so far....

The brita guy insisted my water was just too polluted, but I think it's just that they have morons designing their mounts.

That won't help, that's only the UPC Code... the shelf tag should have the SKU #... we need confirmations on this!
