Most of the musical acts at the super bowl were terrible. Ray Charles was good, but Sting singing about a hooker (Roxanne) while a hundred cheerleaders dressed in red do flag dances? Poor taste.

BSB, Nsync: Agree that the core audience of football fans would love to get a chance to beat the crap out of these dorks. They don't belong at a half time show of a sport they couldn't last two seconds playing.

I can't stand Britney, Mary J. Blidge has a great voice, but once again, I don't think football fans make up the majority of her audience. Nelly was added less than a week ago, kind of last minute to reach the rap fans. I like Aerosmith's older stuff, but they haven't done anything good recently.


Luckily, a re-run of the simpsons was on Fox at exatcly the same time as the half time show took place. I had something better to watch.

 

Last night's Superbowl halftime show represented EVERYTHING I have stood against my entire life.

The commercialistic overload of seeing Britney, N*Sync, Aerosmith, Nelly & Mary J on stage at the same time has set me into shock for at least the next 5 years. :Q

And just when they said I was getting better.

I didn't see the other bands. I couldn't force myself to watch the game. I just seen it on the Fox mornin news. It looked a little out of place..

Ok, granted, the sock thang made absolutely no sense. Perhaps it was a very lame attempt to make her outfit appear more "athletic" or something. However, her cleavage was there in spades. Call me a pervert, but my eyes still work and you could not help but notice. For someone who bills herself as Ms. Congeniality, she sure has a knack for dressing like a naughty little whore.

Other than the aforementioned bossoms, the rest of the halftime festivities sucked some serious ass. Finding a group of people who belonged together less would be difficult.

kidding I jumped online and just listened for it to be over, though I did grab a quick glance on my way to the fridge. So you gotta wonder, in situations like that, does the actual "star" have any say in picking out their outfits, or is it all manager/agent/publicist?

For the most part, MOST artists still prefer to choose their on-stage repertoire as far as outfits go. I know for a fact that if Britney wasn't allowed to pick her clothes, she'd be firing her agent or manager and getting a new one.

Can you imagine a manager telling a band member to wear fake breasts and a pony tail wig on stage at a concert? (Referring to Maynard of Tool a couple years ago) Artists are still allowed to choose their own clothes thank god

My info's second or third-hand, since I wasn't watching her, but someone told me it covered a cast or brace or something. That she had injured her arm and the sock thing was just covering it.

The whole halftime show sucked. It all sucked. The only good part was Aerosmith, they're not bad, but BSB, NSync, Britney Spears... What is this crap?!?

I only saw Britney for a second (I went and ate dinner at halftime), but I didn't even notice the sock... Shame on me

And I agree with PrelateBishop, she's always trying to say that she's wholesome and innocent, yet she dresses like a slut.

I watched some of it now and then, and noticed the huge amount of artists on the stage at once....it was awful. I dunno what to say about that tubesock, that's up to her to decide.....but I guess it looked stupid. And I agree that sports are getting ridiculous.....it's about money, money, money.....damn, it's almost taking away the attention from the real game.
