Eh, you can not like 'her', but in general, singing isn't something that everyone can do 100% of the time. Recording takes time, patience and repeats. I dislike the constant use of autotune, and maybe it does carry many of todays pop stars, but its not really an easy thing to do.

Whenever I've tried to record myself I'm always a half step off :/

Oh I am, but that wasn't the point. 50 years before autotune there was no internet to spread around bad warm up recordings. Contrary to popular belief there was engineering magic long before autotune.

Hearing the raw one and the final product, it appears they removed the the chorus effect, equalizer, and compressor applied on the vocals as well, so it's hard to make a comparison.

Removing the EQ, compressor, and choruses on most songs in the modern age would cause them to sound terrible.


Anyone got a raw version of this?
