I assume that is Optium Online ? What speeds and how much are you paying?

$44.95 a month for 10mb down/1mb up

too bad you can't setup servers of any type, email, web, ftp.
most of that upload goes to waste.

I am almost sure that OOL is not available in AZ.
You could check here.

I have been with them for quite a while now, and I am extremely pleased.

For a low, low price of only $120/mo?

Rob

Bandwidth is expensive, around where I live you can get 2.3mb down/up for $450 a month, thats SDSL. Although in some areas I used to live in you could get up to 7mb down/768k up for around $200, if you were close enough to the CO. Everywhere I have lived, to get decent cable speeds you'd have to pay a boatload. $150 for 1mb down/385k up

OOL is only availble in parts of CT, NY, and NJ. They are the best in the nation according to dslreports. I pay $45/mo. and soon my company will be picking that up for me. As much as I hate the monopolistic practices of Cablevision around here - they spawned OOL and deserve great credit for providing such a nice and dependable service.

The TOS states no servers of any type, much like most ISPs out there. Still, you can use a port other than 80 to run http and 20/21 for FTP. It'll still work. They are strict with capping upload speeds so if you use file-sharing programs or FTP to upload stuff, make sure you use Netlimiter so you're not going full blast.

I got Roadrunner for $45, I think, but my whole neighborhood as it, and its slow as hell. Forgot what the deal was, but the max I've ever seen was 300 KB/sec downloads and 15KB/sec... slow I know...

I pay $50 a month for OOL because I don't get cable TV. I've said it before, the service is good, but their customer service sucks. They lie all the time. Also their price increases, but their speed decreases.

Also, 10mb/1mb is only the cap. Most people without tweaking would average about 2500-3500 down, but it depends on the neighborhood. If you tweak it you should always be able to get at least 3500 down if theres not something wrong, but when talking to them you must lie and exxagerate horribly bad speeds. I'm not sure what the average up speeds are but I get around 90KB/s. You can't upload all the time, or else they will cap your upload to around 20KB.

I've downloaded at 10mb before from OOL. I have a screenshot to prove it as well.

I'm in one of the comcast trial areas with the increased bandwidth. They started on July 15th and guaranteed it would last a month, then it would either end or keep going at their discretion. So far, they'd let it stand. I get around 400K downloading which is better than I was getting a few months back. Nothing like @Home service, though. Haven't uploaded anything in awhile, so not quite sure what those speeds are right now.
