Broadcom CPU equivalent to which Intel line of CPU?

So, as I was cleaning up my pile of old computer scrap parts, i found more than enough pieces to build several good boxes to run wired+wireless, router/firewall servers using pfSense, and also several servers to run NFS/NAS using freeNAS (NFS works perfectly as a VMware Datastore)

But I was curios about the CPU equivalent of those Linksys routers using Broadcom BCM4785 series of CPUs at 200Mhz, 300Mhz, 350Mhz

If we are to compare the 200Mhz CPU to an intel CPU, it will be more like a:
486 200Mhz CPU?
Pentium 200Mhz CPU?
or a Pentium II 200Mhz CPU?

it definitely can not be faster than a Pentium III CPU, that's for sure.

The 486DX4 topped out at 100, the P6/200 was not called Pentium II, and the H should be capitalized.

RISC vs x86 thread. you'd have to establish a common metric before you can compare them. do you want to go with integer performance? ok then. start testing and get back to us.

after some more research, friendly folks from another site provided much better information to use as a basis for comparison, which solved the mystery and it is quite insightful. unlike some people that seems to have no desire to help.

Coming from someone who doesn't know the top speed for a 486 or the slowest speed for a Pentium II, you were in the wrong forum in the first place. Glad you got your mystery solved.
