Just last night I was in the middle of setting a scortching hotlap (I wish...) in F1 2002 when, suddenly, I heard a slight crack as I pushed down the gas. The pedal didn't go down all of the way, so I lifted off and then mashed it down again. It worked, and I was blazing down the front straight of the Austrian A1 Ring. As I approached the first corner, I braked, and everything went as it should. That is, until I hit the gas again; there was no longer any spring effect in the pedal and a very light touch would send the pedal to the metal and me spinning out of control. I've not opened the pedals because I want to preserve my warranty, but I'm not sure it's worth it. I don't particularly want to spend $35 to call up MS and find out that the warranty doesn't cover this, and that I'm SOL.
I've sent them an email asking if I actually have to pay such a ridiculous sum to even speak to them about it, but they've yet to reply.
In the meantime, I'd love to know if any of you have had similar problems or some advice. Also, would it be possible to purchase another set of pedals to go with the still-faultless wheel? They can't possibly be that expensive.
Thanks in advance!
