Broken Profile Pictures?

Over the past couple of weeks, several user profile pictures don't seem to be appearing for me -- the show up as a broken link icon over a blue background (I'm using the classic AT Forum theme)

I was actually told by another user he couldn't see my profile pic so I re-uploaded and it fixed it for him (and others?).

Is anyone else seeing any missing pics? Or just me?

Yeah I can see yours.
But I even received a PM from @Bartman39 and his doesn't show up at all.
There are others in normal threads that I can see too

We were forced to perform a rollback over the Thanksgiving weekend. One of the unfortunate effects of that was that a number of user avatars stopped displaying properly once the rollback was completed. We don't necessarily have an explanation as to why, but fixing it is a simple matter of uploading it again. Some folks just haven't taken the time to do so

Ok that makes sense, and is about the timeframe where I've been seeing issues.
I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me, and for that matter that the powers-that-be were aware of the issue.

I have a hard time believing this since actual broken avatars lead to broken links whereas yours leads to your image—a blown up version of the broken avatar icon, which displays just fine.

Also on mobile it fills the avatar square, a broken one usually doesn't.
