I'm wearing a pair of these right now: best running shoes I've ever tried!
I paid ~$80 last summer, so this is a pretty nice.

If you need shoes for running or some cross training, highly recommended!

great shoes - by the way, if you need the Addiction/Beast (pronation control) don't goof and confuse Adrenaline with Addiction. Addiction = pronation control shoe. I ran a marathon in the wrong one this summer - ouch ouch ouch.

The only way to get Beast cheap is to use coupons from a sporting goods store. ATleast that is only way i was able to do it ( i did not care for the Beast that much (not that comfy), I got a pair of asics instead).

What's the difference? Both correct pronation, one just has more padding/weight.

I started off with the GTS 6's but have switched happily to the GT/Kayano series from Asics and scored a few pair for $30 from SportMart a couple weeks ago.

You do not want to use the Addiction or Beast for a marathon. Pronation shoes are more for walking, so they are stiffer and add more strain to your feet (somehing you do not want while running).

You really scored thosie asics for $30? I have those and bought them for $80. They are nice (really comfy), but the sole of the shoe was not built that well (its falling apart).

Gib: having flat feet and pronating, if I plan to run for any distance, I need to be wearing these motion control-type shoes (addiction/beast). I don't think most folks who know about these things would agree with your statement about using Beast/Addiction shoes for walking.

HOP: you are correct, addiction and beast are both motion control. beast is for clydesdale division runners.

Also, since I didn't mention it before: BROOKS ROCKS! Loyal customer x20 years

It really depends on the person and how they walk and run. I have flat feet and I pronate, but if I were to wear the beast while running, the arch of my feet would start killing me after 10 min. I thought it was because I was not getting any support since it is flat, so I switched to an Asic shoe what was not for pronation. I had the same problem until I swyched to the current asic shoe (made for pronation) i have now.

That said, Brooks released a new version of the Beast (which is why you see the older ones for $75) and I have actually tried them out and i do not seem to have aching feet after 10 min of running.

The GT-2110's were $33.63 shipped. Was a clearance + coupon + GCO deal.

Another nice thing about the Adrenalines that gets overlooked is the breathability. Your feet stay nice and cool.

The biggest difference for me was that the Brooks had too much padding under the toe. I like shoes that have a more forward slant.
