I meant online vs. in the store. It just says "at Office Depot" which to me means either!

I just got mine setup and found an old 4MB 72-pin SIMM sitting around the house. Installed it and it works fine (Printer reports 6MB total). The manual says to install 8MB, 16MB or 32MB, so I doubt it'll do any good. Oh well!

We have had the same cartridge in for about a year now and have printed quite a bit of stuff off of it. It is crazy how long it has lasted. A lot cheaper than a inkjet printer.
I have this printer. I had it plugged into a shared outlet and every time it would warm up, the lights would flicker, and my computer would usually restart.

I've since plugged it into a different outlet and everything works fine, but I still need a better PSU for my PC. Doesn't handle surges/brownouts well, even through a UPS.

Howard, I'd consider replacing your UPS (or its battery if its an APC or reputable brand)

Your power supply isn't the source of your brownout problems. Laser printers spike up to 1500 watts when they begin a warmup cycle or print cycle, and moving it off to another outlet usually wont help unless its on a different circuit breaker.

If you were having severe light dimming you might want to have an electrician check out your wiring and to make sure you have 20 amp breakers, not 12A or 15A, as those, especially 12 amp, wont power very much (~1600-watt load max.)

It is now on a different circuit breaker. The lights just flickered, they didn't dim (fluorescent lights).

I'd say it was my PSU because my brother's computer is hooked up to the exact same outlet on the UPS (both computers on a power bar connected to the battery outlet on UPS) and during power crapouts, his PC runs perfectly fine whereas mine goes funky.

No way to tell if this memory stick will work in this printer without trying it?

I found it thru Pricewatch, which gives you the $4 price. I found it under SYSTEM MEMORY - $4 - EDO 32MB 60ns

If you just click my link and then copy and paste to search for it on the company's website, it shows $7...

They also have a memory finder on that website, for 100% compatible guarantee. Can get 16 MB for $5 SHIPPED. That is probably more than enough.
