BSOD on Windows load

After Trying to get my New HDD to be seen by my BIOS and Stop causing a lock and restart on windows load, I uninstalled the RAID Driver and utility from windows.

Now I get a BSOD every time I hit the windows load screen.

I found a copy of the SATA/RAID Driver disk off the mainboard's manufacter's website, however the problem lies in the fact that I do not have a Windows XP disc to use for a repair or use as a boot disk to reinstall the SATA/RAID driver.

Anyone know a way that I can load or reinstall the drivers without using a XP Install Disc?

The problem may be deaper then the SATA drivers. besides if your not running a raid configuration then you don't need those drivers. I'm afraid you'll need to find someone with an XP disk so you can perform a repair install.

not sure if this will work but try. Your motherboard should have a setting to change the hard drive from being sata to ata .... so the OS sees it as ATA drives instead.
Go into the bios, change it to ATA, boot, install the raid drivers, go into the bios again, change it sata and try again.

If that still does not work - then you will likely need to do an xp repair.

If you remember from my last thread, my HDD was listed as RAID in BIOS. I Uninstalled the drivers in an attempt to get that to stop to see if that would allow me to install the new disk. I flashed the BIOS and it made 110% difference, I can now set my RAM settings more fully, which allowed me to get back 1 of my 2 bad sticks of RAM along with being able to set my HDDs as SATA and not RAID. Still however I get the same error message when starting windows in SATA and not RAID. I do believe that the SATA and RAID drivers for the south bridge on this board are the same, simply from the fact that windows would not install or even recognize the drive upon initial install without going through the whole F6 driver install deal. Now after uninstalling those drivers windows will not load. Seams logical? Or am I wrong?

I initially tried turning the SATA Controller within BIOS from RAID to SATA then to Disabled with no luck in any respect. I can try and take another look and see if I can work it through the PATA Controller. SATA/RAID didn't make a difference and Disabling the SATA Controller, of course, caused the PC to not even recognize there was a drive connected.

Ill play around with it some more tonight and see if I can look around for a windows disc for a repair install.
