BSOD with new Vertex 3?

A few weeks ago I replaced my laptops HDD (which died) with the 60 GB Vertex 3. Everything was working fine for about 10 days, but over the last week I've had 3 BSOD's. They all seem pretty random. The only thing I was doing was using Chrome. Its weird because it works flawlessly for the 2 or 3 days in between the blue screens.

Should I be concerned yet? I downloaded and ran Memtest86+ which showed no errors. Is there anything else I can do to try to diagnose the cause?

Just wondering if it's time to consider an RMA yet?

Im running win7 64.
Laptop is an Intel i5 M 460
HM55 Express Chipset

I have the latest chipset drivers installed. The vertex came with the latest 2.15 firmware already installed.

Not sure if this means anything, but this was part of the error message after the restart.

Run the OCZ Toolbox, what firmware version are you at? If not the latest, update it to the latest using the linux usb firmware updater (check OCZ forums for guide on this).

I definitely would NOT be ok with any BSOD, if system worked fine prior to that, it's most likely the SSD.

Did you do a clean install on the SSD or are you using an image or something?

Drive has firmware 2.15.

Never had an issue with the laptop prior (year +) until the HDD suddenly crashed and started dying.

This was a clean install with the windows Disc.

2.15 is the latest so you're ok on that front. you might want to sign up at OCZ forums for some more specific advise.

does the laptop BIOS have any options for AHCI? If so make sure that is enabled before installing OS on SSD.

good advice from zCypher there. Go to the mfgr for specific advice and be sure to fill in the mandatory system details for quicker support.

Most likely a bios support or ACPI tabling issue going on there. They'll help you sort it out quicker over there as they deal with these issues daily.

PS.. also worth a mention that others have had issues with chrome causing crashes too. May be(probably) unrelated to your situation.. but thought I'd throw that out there as it would be much simpler to troubleshoot that possibility first.
