I need to build up a cheap budget PC for my aunt. She doesn't need anything fancy, so I want to go with a good budget mobo (preferably AMD). What are the best mobo's out there with onboard graphics and sound? This is the first budget PC I've built, so I don't know about these mobo's. Thanks in advance for the help.

If it's for a non-power user, I suggest the Biostar motherboards. They have some very cheap boards that work very well. Even their nForce2 boards are around $65 at NewEgg.

You can also maybe get used ones on occasion for around $35 - $40. That's how I got a couple of mine.

Only $57 shipped at newegg.com

Just built a basic system with it. Very good and stable
That is a nice board, but for only $6 more I just can't see giving up the G4MX IGP and 400fsb support the Biostar M7NCG 400 offers.

I am using an MSI KM4M-L on a second system here and it works great. XP3000+ support and DDR.

I recently built a system with the Biostar M7VIZ. Used onboard video, sound and LAN. It's a great basic system.

I built one for a friend back in December. He wanted something reliable for his daughter but didn't care about a lot of extras, just reliability. I did flash the BIOS but it's been stone solid since day one. It won't take a Barton, but for a mom&pop system it should do very well with the Tbread core.
