I had a $600 budget, but.... I bought an nice SSD. So my budget is now $450.
I need a new mobo, proc, HS/F and ram. I want to OC a bit maybe 4 - 4.2ish.
I game.. everything else is up to snuff, but my case is an antec 300 so HS/F space is limited.
Proc needs to be a 4670k or higher. I am concerned about some games stated recommended requirements a 4770k. I would consider AMD, if it was just an amazing deal, but I prefer intel.

I keep waiting for a great deal, but those seem to have gone away.

You're located in the US and buying from newegg etc?`Do you have a Microcenter nearby?

So you already have: graphics card, power supply, Antec 300 case, storage hard disk, correct? Please state model numbers for all of them

Is your monitor resolution 1080p, and do you need an OS license?

I am concerned about some games stated recommended requirements a 4770k.

Don't be, there are no games that don't run well on an i5.

Might be possible if MicroCenter...

i5-3570k combo for $204.98
8GB Memory $75ish
leaving $170 for a video card...

The OC and HS/F can wait.

West coast. No microcenter.
I have:
gtx670
1TB WD black
soon 256 SSD samsung 840 pro
antec 750w truepower
antec 300

I need this to last me a good 4 to 5 years because that is how often I upgrade my mobo/proc and ram (currently sporting q9550 @3.4, 6gigs ddr2 800, and an asus p5qse).

You want to wait until TSMC(a foundry, aka a company that produces chips) does their node shrink and start producing "Maxwell" GPUs on the 20 nm node instead of buying a GPU on the current 28 nm node. That is because with node shrinks, processor power increases while the power budget expands, resulting in the same performance with lower power consumption or more performance with the same power consumption.

Yeah the 670 is a pretty solid card. Just do the MB, CPU, HS/F and RAM and wait on the video card.

Like everyone else, your GPU is still very strong so keep it till the next round of GPUs.

I have no idea where PCPartPicker is getting this CPU cooler+CPU combo, but that part is kinda screwed up.

Superbiz is awesome. I have ordered from them in the past and they have always been great to work with.
Not a big fan of biostar though.

Biostar is totally fine, but it turns out that you can get a better deal if you take advantage of some combos:

i5 4670K + MSI Z87-G41 combo $310 AR
G.Skill DDR3 1600 8GB $75 - two modules for dual-channel operation
Hyper 212+ $30
Total: $415 AR
A $5 rebate!? Really... At first I was gonna say newegg has reached a new low, but it seems to be a manufacturer rebate... Keep in mind if you fill out the rebate using an original UPC, you can't return or exchange (RMA) items, you would have to deal directly with the manufacturer.

That's a nice combo discount though. $20+$5 MIR.

I'd recommend G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL which is $72 after EMCPWHG22 promo code.

Blue version is a quarter more:

+ 15% off w/ promo code EMCPWHG29, ends 1/29
