Budget Socket 939 CPU heatsink fan

I am on a limited budget and am thinking of upgrading to this mobo/cpu combo from newegg.

The CPU is OEM and I am looking for a heatsink/fan to go with it. Plan to do some mild overclocking.

Looking at the heatsink/fans on newegg and I just dont see how any of them would attach to the motherboard. My last experience building a rig was with Abit NF7-s and AMD Mobile 2400. The heatsink just clipped onto the sides of the CPU socket. This motherboard has a plastic square around it, I dont see anyway to attach to the actual CPU socket.

Would these work with the above motherboard? If not could someone recommend one?

Biostar...NO WANT.

The Freezer 64 Pro is recommended by many for Socket 939/AM2 setups.

I second the Freezer 64 Pro.

Also, try to find the TForce-6100 by Biostar if you need one with onboard video and mATX. You'll be thankful you did when you start overclocking.

Ok i will go with the freezer 64 pro. It will just clip directly to the CPU socket itself? I dont see any tabs on the CPU socket on that mobo.

The F64P is about as foolproof of a CPU cooler as you can get for K8 procs.

Same cooler for $15 after MIR. This one is better than the Freezer 64.

Did you live out in the woods for the past two years? Yes, they do attach to the plastic mounting bracket around the socket.

HSFs don't fasten to socket any more - they be too heavy for that. Here are a couple of budget choices:

Don't worry about the really low scored customer reports - they be obviously maroons...

The AC Freezer 64 Pro and the Oher CM that was linked may be as well.
