If you want these, I'd keep an eye on the page today. They will probably restock as the ETA says, but then again, they may go quickly. On the other hand, maybe not.... who knows?
But, like I said before, don't depend on the email notification......you may receive it to only find out it's OOS already by the time you get it.
I waited all day last time it had an expected date (2/26), and they were never restocked, so don't expect them to get these in anytime soon. If you check out Buffalo's website they are OOS as well, and I'm pretty sure their website will have them back in stock before newegg.

If you're not going to get your system complete before april, why would you order the memory today? I'm not criticising in any sense, just trying to assess if buying now makes sense. Because i'm in the same boat as putting together a new C2D system. Wouldn't these sticks be cheaper in April?

When I built my Opty 165 system, memory was at an all time low. 1 GB of Corsair was $65 or so. The following months it shot up to the low 100s. Memory fluctuates. It is basically like buying a stock.
The only bonus is memory also keeps it's value more than most any other component. I picked up the Firestix today b/c I have a good shot at getting a very good overclockable chipset for less than the current market price.
Will it go down, who knows? Will Buffalo change the chips? These are risks that I figure I am willing to take. Now the question is do I have the will power and impulse control to wait until April for the new C2Ds and the price drops?

There's a $50 rebate on the patriot though. It comes down to 175 versus 190. I know they are both good clockers, everyone rave about them, but is the $15 difference worth it?
