Dang that stinks, I got my order in around 3 something pacific and they didn't ship it out.

Thats exactly what I'm going to put into my rig haha. I got the antec 900 for 90 dollars no rebate when comp usa had it and got my Tuniq as soon as I saw it in stock at Jab tech. It will cost you like 60 shipped plus you can add more stuff without paying extra shipping. Got myself 4 120mm yate loons 3 dollars each and some AS5.

I hope my firestix can come on monday or tuesday, I live so close to the newegg warehouse.

haha, I see what you mean. When was this first available? Did you get yourself a pair? Apparently on HardOCP someone said they only had 20 pairs to begin with on this shipment...

Actually, yes I did snatch a pair. This now give me 4GB of this awesome Buffalo Firestix....mine shipped Friday and should be here on Wednesday (Friday doesn't count in shipment time for UPS....they just picked it up and UPS never moves anything on weekends except overnight stuff.)

So y'all can start the hating on me, I guess....I sucked up two pairs in the last 2 weeks.

Finally ordered these sticks - after a few weeks, Newegg had basically sold every stick to you guys !! - time was on my side on this one, as I still need to pick up a C2D when they drop in price, so I'm glad I got these to pair up with that chip. Anyone running these sticks on a Gigabyte 965 rev 3.3 board ?

I do believe, and it's probably misguided, that RAM prices for performance DDR2 are probably close to the lowest they'll get....if $10 or so in price drop is significant enough to make you wait, cool.

But standard DDR2 is runing, right now, at roughly $65 per GB. Performance is a bit more. Looking at the RTPE on AT, the prices, over the last 5-6 months, are around their lowest point right now.

These will cohabitate with the DDR2-8000 Buffalo sticks you already have.....both sets will be limited, in OC'ing, to the limit these will run, not the 8000's.

As of 3/6 @ 8:53AM, there are 12 sets left.

I read on another forum, a member called Buffalo and confirmed that 100% of 2007 stock is D9 and only a special batch was made Elpidia chips for a certain retailer in 2006. I hope thats true!

Ya, some RAM makers and industry people are predicting a big Vista bloom in Q3 and Q4 which will drive RAM prices up for sure. I still think there's a bit of room for prices to drop though before that. Intel's new line-up, Bearlake chipset and price cuts at the end of April may be the sweet spot to buy. Pretty sure they're releasing 1333FSB versions of Conroe (Bearlake supports 1333 also) but not 100% sure. In any case, typically faster CPU standards force RAM makers to produce faster modules for "OC'ing Headroom", which in turn drops the price on lower-spec'd modules.

DemiAjax, I'm glad I got in on this now. I'm building a system that needs to be complete in the next two weeks so I can start working on some of my Interactive Media thesis work . Only in PC building could a deadline be relaxing.
