Do you work for this company or something? You only have 62 posts and at least half of them are this thread.
I went ahead and grabbed it while it was a flash deal. I probably won't install it or mess with it until it is further along, but hoping it turns out good. Is the 2.0 version playable at all and what is it? Is that the new engine?

If not, you are oddly obsessed with this game and keeping the thread on front page by bumping it with (generally irrelevant) news like "i found a cool video on youtube about NCG"...

Here the latest news on Empire Interactive:
Zoo Publishing Snags Empire Interactive Licenses
Zoo Publishing announced a deal to license, publish, and distribute the catalog of titles previously published and developed by, the now defunct, Empire Interactive, allowing it to re-release previous Empire titles, to port previously released games to new platforms, and to create a new gaming content from existing IPs.
Well Flatout 2 online server still working, there over 500 players online right now:

A taste of things to come:
Today we tested real deal online multiplayer with two new game modes, Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. They need tweaking, sure, but they're here, and they work!
In addition, we now have road side spectator cameras so you can watch how the rest of the race proceeds.
All this makes the next build worth the wait, no?
Good times, good times \o/
you still sure you don't work for Bugbear?
I tried out new new multiplayer and it's fun! This game really needs analog controller support though if it doesn't have it already. All I see is keyboard mappings and all on/all off just doesn't work for racing.
