Edit: solved: I was able to uninstall the bad driver in safe mode
I have a Lenovo X230 with a buggy integrated WiFi driver.
The hardware is Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205
The driver is version 15.10.3.2 date 22/08/2013
OS: Windows 8.1
This driver gives frequent BSODs on system startup with messages including "irq not less or equal", "bad pool caller", "bad pool header".
There is a new Intel driver 15.16.0.2 which the Intel Driver Update Utility 2.0 has found I would like to install it.
However the install results in a BSOD.
Uninstalling the current driver in Device Manager results in a BSOD.
Disabling the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 in Device Manager results in a BSOD.
Turning WiFi off in the Windows networks tab works but doesn't prevent these BSODs.
Very grateful for help!
