Building a cheap system

I'm trying to build a system for video editing/audio editing, etc for real cheap. I do not need a case but I do need a monitor as well. My budget is no more than $700, though I might go the route of Dell to get the monitor, since I can use my credit account...maybe.

So I decided against going with a prebuilt system because I wanted to customize things to my liking. I can get all these parts for $485 including shipping at newegg. What do you think?

If you're using MS Movie Maker, this is the minimum requirements.

You may want to look at Asus, DFI, epox, or MSI for a mobo. Everything else looks good.

A Intel 920, Seasonic 430 PSU, XP-90 and Delta EFB series fan for it would be my replacements. The main reason is the PSU. COOLMAX is one of the budget overrated brands. Plus its an EPS power supply. Most likely not even compatible with your system.

Also, I would recommend the ASUS P5LD2-VM DH over the Gigabyte mobo. It has integrated video so you wont have to worry about a graphics card. If your just doing video editing, you dont need a video card anyways.

movie maker? ok, i'm not that amateur!! thanks for some advice though. What is EPS power supply mean?

EDIT: I see it now. Not compatable, so that means switching to a different PSU
