Hi ,
i am building my first computer
i have all the parts
and i am about to start like next weekend. I have never done such a thing, however i have opened computers and change hard drives and stuff.
My question is, is there anything i should know before i start that the manuals i have downloaded online are not telling me.
Any kind of suggestion would likely more then help since that's my first attemp at such a thing.
Thanks guys, without everyone help in Ars, i wouldn't be that far now, eventhough i haven't even started yet lol

Looks Good..

Looking at the amount of components you have listed your need at least a MIDI tower case, but maybe something a little bigger so thats its easy to work within plus gives adequate ventilation.
Make sure you get at well ventilated case, ie one with more than 1 Fan.
Addtronics do some nice but expensive cases, but you can find hobbyists cases around
for much less but do a good job.

300 Watt power supply should see you alright, i found an approved power supply listing for my
AMD Duron CPU but i cant find one for your CPU, but check just in case.

If you have already obtained these components, ill say no more, but otherwise id advise getting the Abit K7 board without RAID, this board is so amazingly simply for overclocking its wonderful.

Oh yeah and one last word, DONT forget the penlight torch !! Comes in handy believe me.

Have Fun and good luck.

How about some not nearly as technical advise - Remember the odvious:
Make sure evething is seated good and and of the cables are connected. When you get close to start up some of these things are easy to over look. The motherboard is simple to use, I've used several without a problem. Make sure you have curent drivers. The drivers that ship can be old. Check to see if the HD has slave and master jumpers and they are set correctly. Have fun and double check your work!
