on paper. It's the same crap rebundled every year. There's no change other than price / more E cores.three generations old.
Yes, that's the mental part of switching from the subsidized Intel junk we get brain washed into buying because they keep the price low but don't offer much innovation. I struggled with the price difference as well looking at Intel being $300 and AMD $800 or whatever the difference at the times I was thinking about jumping ship. That my dilemma
The difference though is Intel is putting out trash at this point by recycling the same old tech from years ago and not really doing much until they get their new nodes up and running. They're outsourcing their production right now to TSMC which isn't something a company with their own nodes should be doing for profit reasons. The whole 5 nodes / 5 years thing was a joke when they announced it. They're still producing things at 10nm while everything else is 3-6nm.

However, getting caught up in FOMO can lead to analysis paralysis and thus no decision. So.... pick one ecosystem and then figure out what tier you want to be at.
AMD 9000 series is releasing with current boards only needing updates to enable them and the new 870 boards will come later. This is something Intel would never do as a new chipset means more money in the coffers. Though even your 14th gen CPU works in a 690 board.
