Huh? Why even an offer of a Dolby Digial Live card? The TV has stereo speakers. Besides, you are talking about composite RCA cables, so there's no way it could carry anymore than stereo anyway.
I guess the XiFi COULD work, if you were really trying to improve the output of the TV by expanding transients. But who in their mind would pay that much for a sound card without actually using external speakers? You can't assume until he says so : P
If its for TV speakers, use anything cheap. ANYTHING cheap. Your TV speakers can only benefit so much from electronics before pure physics kicks in.
