Larry, the OP want to build for a 10 y/o that plays games not just a browser box. At this point I'm not sure I would buy a Pentium 4600 as the Ryzen 2200G is a much better processor for not much more.I don't know what a RealLan case looks like offhand, but I've got a DeskMini (from ASRock), it's around the size of a Brix unit, slightly taller to accommodate an Intel stock fan, but it has a G4600, 16GB of DDR4-2400 (DC).. and a 120GB SATA6G SSD, listed in my FS thread.
I have no idea if a G4600's HD630 iGPU can play Roblox, I highly doubt that it can play Fortnight at any decent resolution. (Might play it at 720P?)
If It can make your life easier or cheaper, PM me about it, thanks.
Other than that, the 2400G is a great APU, although I've not tried it on an ITX mobo.
I'm looking forward to the 200GE / 220GE / 240GE Athlon variants, unsure if their cut-down Vega iGPUs can play Fortnight, but as browser boxes, they should be superb.
A good reason to avoid the 200GE if you ask me. For a SFF gaming box the 2200G/2400G APUs makes the best sense. However if you have a dGPU, then the Ryzen 2600 makes more sense. Their are SFF cases that can take a dGPU but it might be a tight fit.Based on my own tests, HD630 manages to keep over 30 in Fortnite... most of the time is around 40fps. it is playable, but you need dual channel. But that is 720p with everything low/off.
Roblox is also playable.
2200G can do 1080P@Medium in Fortnite at 30-40fps.
And i expect 200GE to performs petty much like the HD630.
