Building for a friend...he has 2 dell 20" widescreens

He mostly just plays EQ2, way too much in my opinion, but he's an adult.

He has already, on my recommendation, picked up a Gigabyte Aurora for the case. I like it, very much.

What we had in mind is figuring out a solution so he can play two EQ2 accounts at the same time, using both monitors. Is this even possible?

He would also be playing a lot of music.

He's got about a $1500 budget, but since he's already got two nice monitors, that's not so bad.

SLI two 7900 GT's or a solo 7900 GTX?

Anyone with a 7900 GT SLI setup that can tell me what power supply they are using and how it's been working for them?

Solo GTX is more cost effective.

In all honesty, I would recommend picking up two Dell systems on the cheap, upgrading the video cards, getting a KVM, and then running the game on each one.

You probably could do that with say a dual-CPU (not dual core) system, but I don't know if you could allocate GPU load easily so that it'd be smooth. I would expect it would be just as cost effective to go with two Dell systems (say 5150 or E510). Depending on the deal you could snag two of them for not too much (and usually bundled with a monitor that you could sell to lower things some more).

In this case 2 systems is definitly better than 1 even 1 high end dual core system crawls when runing 2 instances of EQ 2 just get 2 mid range systems for this application you'll be much happier.
