Building my first website

I just purchased and registered my domain; and I bought a year of hosting for it.
Since I don't know jack about making a website I was wondering what steps do I need to be taking to make my new website a reality? How to make a website template? (or should I get one for free if yes, where?) I have macromedia dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop 7, Microsoft Frontpage, Macromedia flash, and adobe premiere.

have this site bookmarked
then start opening up your dreamweaver, look at design mode (which will be helpful if you have no background in html or web design)
start tinkering around the stuffs in dreamweaver
create a simple page (even as simple as "hello world"), then build on that.
check how it looks on your local computer, then upload it to your host.

forget about photoshop and flash for now.. they will be used later on when you have more basics covered.

as for frontpage, just send that to the museum and let it rest in peace

Although Dreamweaver can make building a web site much easier, I highly suggest that you learn at least some basic html code. It'll help you understand what you're doing much better.

once you have the basic syntax and tags down, you can jump ahead by grabbing a free template and just throwing in your content where it belongs.

I'd read a short guide to HTML and then start tinkering in Dreamweaver between WYSIWYG and code mode.
