Hi Karbi,
sounds like a nice computer you are about to put together! One thing I noticed was alot of talk about components but no reference to what your budget is. Don't expect to put together a top notch system like this for less then $2000. The processor and MB alone will run you $800-900, and don't expect to get a $50 MB for your $650 processor. Thats like getting a Ferrari engine and stuffing it into a Yugo transission. Then you could spend $100-300 on a case and PSU, then $600-800+ on RAM (4x 512mb), $200-250 on drives (2x 100gb WD SE), $300 for the R9700, $100 sound card (audigy 2), $100 on optical drives (CDRW/DVD), and not to mention speakers ($60-$400), $50-100 on cables and fans, $50-100+ shipping everything, etc... And we still haven't mentioend the monitor or anything else like printer or scanner or router, etc.
Are you prepared to pay $2000-3000? If so well good for you, you'll get one hell of a machine. If not then maybe you should post what your budget is, certain types of things you would like to have, and what the intended usage is. It's much easier to pinpoint exactly what you want instead of just making some super computer for you that is only using Word and playng UT.
And why do you need 2gb of RAM? I work in graphics, audio/video, and sometimes 3D and CAD. All my machines have 1gb RAM but I have never felt the need to get more. What are you doing? Most machines dont need more then 512mb, even hardcore gaming machines.
