Nobody who lives truth is annoyed by impoverished, desperate, insecure humans falsely accusing. One must have to have respect for slmeone for upset to be generated.

Heads up; it is my former college roommate, Carol Jane (she has an identical twin sister), Married to now, very, very rich Jimmy in Boston who DRIVES THE RED BENTLEY. And, it new, it was under 250K, not 300K.

It is another friend from college, Linda, whose husband drives the black Vette. And plays tennis. They live in NJ. He comes from Short Hills there, she from Livingston.

And PBS would not even accept you as a paid member. No, they would, as long as they do not read threads on this site.

I can't see how someone who creates an entire thread, including detailed photographs, of their work which merely involves sniping/cutting some wires, coming out of their PSU, and considers that, "hugely creative", is now suddenly a rich and successful writer of books (or whatever it is), who has mega millionaire friends.

It does not quite seem to add up, sorry.

If I am wrong here, then my apologies, but it is best not to believe everything you read on the internet, says Abraham Lincoln.

I had not noticed the MPH typo, but it just does not tie in with their other posts.

E.g. Their difficulty in producing normal sounding English, suddenly vanished.

Most normal/sensible people, would NEVER drive at 124 MPH, with kids in the back, especially NOT women, who tend to be a lot less reckless, as regards such matters.

If it was true, I would be very disgusted with them anyway, and it would be illegal (at least in my country), resulting in a driving ban, and big fine, and maybe worse.

I regret your disgust.

Another human who does not focus! As I shared, we were all then college friends, and ALL 18 or 19. And I was the one anyone living in the Met area with a vehicle was asked to drive either down from school or back up after a holiday....BECAUSE OF WHAT I SHARED, not despite it.

U want more creative, scroll up to my cabinetry images I put up.. What creative people are moved to has nothing at all do do with assets or disposable income. U get that, yes? But re the veneering, I was happy I could afford what I chose to get from Constantine.

I regret your disgust.

Unfortunately, the disgust is likely to be correct either way.

Either you were driving somewhat recklessly and/or not telling a 100% truthful story.

You have partly changed and clarified your story, about two or three times, now.
Unfortunately, this makes it look even more suspicious.

I wish we had a forum member called "Judge Judy", who could give their insight into this thread.

I never said I was rich in dead Presidents. But I am able to live in this famous, pre war, landmark building, and have no ambition to be richer in other than the ways I am. And in MY neighborhood, an enclosed garage, the main one my neighbors use to store their identical Benzes and Beamers, costs almost 2K a month. Many of them work on Wall Street.

As my dad always lived and only said once: the most important thing is you find something you LOVE to do for a living.....because if you don't whatever you make, it will never be enough.

Re friends, I in no way have more than the average human. And truth is, I move further and further away form Carol Jane.....cause it is increasingly painful to witness her erosion because of the gilded cage phenomenon.

Now I am going to try to turn off core parking! I think I am ready!

PS, YOU are not the arbiter of truth herein. that, U gotta earn, and sorry, you have not. Nor, re assessing my reality as a unique human, are you passing voir dire to be seated on that jury.

But you are entitled to your take aways; distortion, after all, is no more a felony than ignorance, and God knows, both pervade.

I am positive. Hand to God. WHY would that account generate doubt? I am a REALLY good driver, not as if the NY State Thruway is some little dirt road, and common, [sic] I was 19.

The short and extremely common colloquial phrase you were going for is, "come on," Ms. Professional Writer. I thought you took immense pride in your work?

I luv huh. No account I have offered is either untrue or not consistent. Why anyone would need to think otherwise, speaks volumes.

I am not, as per the title of my fav book by Mrs. Sheindlin: Don't Pee on my Leg and Tell me it's Raining. I....am not.

PS...I believe what you meant to say was the disgust would (in your view) be JUSTIFIED....rather than "correct."

Again, someone with a brain thinks being a professional writer is about typos or punctuation!!!!!!

I am not a copy editor, I am a WRITER.

Mistaking "common" for "come on" is neither a typo nor mis-punctuation.

It is a small but very basic and irrefutable lack of literacy in English.

Feeling a bit deflated? That hissing sound you hear is the air escaping out of the puncture hole in your cartoon internet persona.

You created the following thread :-

OMG, Where are my Cores?????????

The time and energy you must have spent, as a "WRITER", coming up with such a brilliant quality title, such as that, amazes me!

And this one, the title just OOZES "WRITER" quality :-
(You must have spent a couple of hours, just coming up with that title).

What is it??????

OMG! How Cute is this?

The above title, the maturity level of its creator alone, means they MUST BE a "WRITER".

K....here is a report:

It is a well known fact, ALL professional "WRITERS", say k, unlike the younger generation, with poor English skills, who always use txt speak, and would say "Ok I have found it, so here is a report:".

Yes, the lazy poor English skills "PROFESSIONAL WRITER", makes 101% sense.

Everyone knows that "PROFESSIONAL WRITERS" talk in txt speech ALL the time.

I feel exaclty the same as always.

I commit the 'CARDINAL SIN" you have now found to obsess over to, it seems, to mitigate some issue of YOURS re self esteem....ongoing. Nobody blinks. And nobody ever will.

Forget editors who celebrate the liberties I take with language, and never arbitrarily, i.e, morphing nouns into verbs, etc.

How unhappy a being you (or anyone at all) would have to be to be lacerating yr fingers in this desperate determination to scrape the bottom of some fetid barrel to find some molecule to support your false, manufactured premise?

Yours, is a doomed endeavor, and so, sad, but sadder still, is what it reflects.

You..... in yr stunningly anachronistic, dogmatic, truncating PARAMETERS, re what you must ACTUALLY BELIEVE someone who writes for a living should sound like, feel like dance like sing like, emote like......are reduced to being a true martinet and Fascist.

Howwwwwwwww, and whennnnnn.... did you get into this PRISON? And why, would you or anyone feel they have to remain there?

What you continue to miss....and it truly is scary, is your stunning inability to get beyond your FANTASY vehicle to earn BACK precious acuity and experience what is THERE.

1) Going fast in a straight line is no thrill at all. A monkey can push the gas pedal while keeping the wheel straight.

2) The issue is not now, and has never been, about the vehicle itself. It has been about the manner in which you continually fetishize labor-intensive processes and assume that more modern processes involving mass production and automation somehow remove the relationship between the craftsman and his art.

I indulge in large amounts of written correspondence (handwritten script using linen paper and a fountain pen) because I appreciate that connection, but I don't sit around in delirium over that fact. I wear a 100+ year old pocket watch, but I don't "leap" or "exult" over it with excessive capital letters and unjustified numbers of exclamation marks. They are fun indulgences but they are not things to aspire towards in everyday life because their level of inconvenience makes them inferior to mass-produced modern options in situations where one must actually engage with the world.

Further, you continually imply that somehow craftsmanship is absent from mass-produced items and that's simply not true. The perception that items not requiring massive investments in man-hours to handcraft are "soul-less" is an immature worldview that misses the incredible beauty and wonder inherent in the ability to mass-produce high-quality items. There is magic in the precision machinery necessary to create a computer chip. There is magic in the fact that a Blu-Ray disc can contain 50,000 novels and the fact that we can control a laser with a wavelength of only 405 nanometers with such precision that a Blu-Ray disc can be read reliably for decades is magic. There is great care and craftsmanship involved in the creation of these mechanisms and to suggest otherwise is an insulting amount of ingratitude to the amazing efforts that allow our daily comfort.

Your worship of handmade products is a narrow and simplistic view which fails to evaluate reality's nuances. It's a view that is all too fashionable among a group of people who claim to stand outside "consumer-driven" culture while being blind to the fact that their fetishizing handcrafting does not put them outside consumer culture but merely creates its own consumer culture where status remains determined by items extrinsic to themselves even if those items are different from the items that create status in what is traditionally considered to be "consumer culture."

Quality and careful craftsmanship exists in many mass-produced items even where production is automated. It exists in a $10 case fan for a computer that uses fluid bearings instead of sleeve bearings so it doesn't wear out. It exists in a low-ripple power supply that feeds clean power to the machine. The fact that such items are made by automated systems with mass production does not remove the quality or excellence.

The root word for "technology" is the Greek "τέχνη" (transliterated as "techne"), meaning "art." There is a reason for this. Your inability to understand the incredible artistry and craftsmanship in quality mass-produced goods reflects your own limitations, not mine.

People hold "legalese" in contempt because many unskilled lawyers misperceive language as a means to obfuscate the truth.

Good legal writing is clear and can be followed by a layman with minimal effort. The impetus behind good legal writing (and good technical/medical writing) is the need to communicate ideas clearly and effectively. Very, very few legal practitioners can write well precisely because those practitioners tend to mistakenly assume that the writing is merely about following "simple protocols" rather than effective communication of ideas and concepts.

The fact that you are unable to find a "pulse" in legal/medical/technical writing evinces your own limitations. Good writing in these fields is filled with passion and flows directly from the writer's love of his craft and calling.

By the way, do not think you have successfully distracted me from the fact that you have consistently failed to respond to the substantive portions of my posts.

FINAL RESPONSE TO YOU: Unless and until elements emerge to do otherwise emerge, I have sincere interest in and give respect to all other humans. By default.

My initial respect for YOU as one of those humans, has eroded over time as your core sensibility emerged more and more unambiguously.....and, I therefore have no interest in responding to what you post.

Never a happy thing, but sometimes, part of life.

Let us see if you can respect what I have just delineated honestly.

i believe i can sum up this thread nicely

OP: the bentley mulsanne is the pinnacle of craftsmanship and engineering, and is built using the finest materials and processes. anyone who disagrees with me is wrong.

AT: but it takes just as much if not more to do things in mass production. not to say that mulsanne isn't special, but you are grossly overestimating what goes into the mulsanne and underestimating what goes into 'conventional' production vehicles.

OP: WRONG

May the Great Guitar God Bless U. In your core sensibility, which is why you are a musician, you have clarity and character and a dearth of toxins.....and YOU are now a cherished exception here, in this thread which has morphed into a veritable, ad hoc pathology arena populated by malcontents. I, little me (tho only little on the outside)....have clearly, if unimaginably, become some kinda catalyst in the emerging of The Pathology.

And, it is not who I am, it is clearly, what I REPRESENT in some unwittingly festering human interiors.

And, PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE NOT, get recent autobio by Keith Richards!!!!!

I never was a Stones fan, never will be, forget, I find Mick ersatz-verging-on-repulsive in every way, with no real talent beyond his overweening ambition, shrewd business sense, and IGNOBLE willingness to shamefully exploit and try to emulate African-American artists who had/have ACTUAL talent.

But Keith has always intrigued me. And, in this book, he emerges as not only character driven, but smart as hell, erudite, literate, lovable, profound, empathetic, introspective, and beyond. When you come to feel sad that you are coming to the end of a given book (in this case, in ebook format), you know you chose well.

Please, again, if you haven't had this privilege yet....do not miss it!

As for the poor guy whose post you responded to (sadly, he is one of several here), Thoreau (one of my fav dead people) comes to mind: 'The Masses of men Lead Lives of Quiet Desperation" I am now moved to edit that, with this thread in mind, with the addendum...."and sometimes, the desperation is not so quiet."

U think Clapton is the greatest of all time? U think Hendrix was more showman than genius artist? Sincere questions.

Last one. Your choice of the word "sanity" above.....confirms all I have come to, including abject ignorance. It is why I can never take you seriously or restore the privilege of having even a modicum of respect for you. It is YOU who is ersatz, and instead of doing the work to earn better, you settle for cowardly games and doomed isometric struggles with someone outside you who represents something.

This....is not simply sad, it is ignoble. Your enemy, is within. That, with character and courage can be fixed over time. And I wish you both.

And as for "substantive" posts, you have made none. You are relegated to boorish, sloppy, cavalier throw downs with no viable content, vision or accuracy....and, at your most desperate and revealing, vituperation worthy of an impoverished gang banger.

FINIS.

I think the crescendo of emerged pathology in this thread has now reached epic proportions and has eclipsed what it started out to be and its real potential. Not sure how, but I would like to ask someone to please close it.

Pretty sure the mods aren't going to do that, kiddo.

And you've still never responded to any substantive criticism. The fact that you're incapable of differentiating disagreement from an attack is not our fault.
