It's really too bad for AMD. I'm sure a lot more people are going to just buy a Sandy Bridge instead of waiting continuously for Bulldozer.

IMO AMD needs to be more conservative with their release dates. They're much better off if they release products early to surprise the competition.

Yeah and before that wasn't it supposed to be released in 2010? I could swear that AMD has repeatedly delayed these products. Fusion in particular is way behind schedule.

I know the schedules but Q2 for desktop launch, Q2 for start of server production and Q3 for server launch is all I can say.

He also said there is no change in schedule.

Q2 is June 30. That's still "summer", right? And late summer is q3, so no changes that I can see. Scary part for amd is that even assuming BD outperforms sb, skt 2011 is right around the corner. If BD had hit the original original goal of 2009 then amd could have made some hay, but now that they are going up against sb/ib they will be hard pressed to be competitive IMHO.

Article doesn't state a delay in bulldozer, but rather Llano being moved forward. If Bulldozer makes it's debut in June, it's still Q2 as previously mentioned.

It's been scheduled for Q2 for quite some time now, Intel fanboy.

It seems like the article is misinterpreting a lot of what is quoted.

"We have begun sampling our 32nm Bulldozer-based Orochi parts in volume".
"We expect Orochi for desktops to ship in production in early summer".

So it's sampling in volume right now, and shipping in production in early summer. That sounds good to me, and is in line with all other timelines that I have been hearing about.

In fact, it sounds like there is an opportunity for AMD to paper launch, which has become common practice (with Intel too), except now manufacturers disguise their paper launches by getting review sites to call them "previews".
