Bump formed on tire

I ran over a big block of wood a few nights ago on the freeway. It was probably almost as big as a curb. But anyway the next morning I found that a bump/bubble has formed on the sidewall of my tire of my left front wheel. It's not super noticeable or anything. I still drove the next couple days (prob 40 miles total). I think my alignment is kinda off too now. So is this tire repairable?? Should I get them replaced? How soon should I take care of it?

That's a weak spot in the tire. Get it changed SOON. I had one of those blow out on me on the freeway because I didn't think anything of it.

Replace the tire. I had the same problem a few years ago. You need to / should replace the tire. Bummer.

ok thanks guys.. i didn't think it was too serious, but i guess it is. yah im planning to go to the tire shop monday, but wanted to see what you guys thought first. crap i was about to spend $200 on new speakers or something. now i have to spend $140 for a new tire (if i want the same one) and probably $50 more for alignment. would it mess up my car if u get a cheaper tire?

Sound like one or more of your kevlar liner is torn. Also, check the alignment and have your rim/s check.

The rim doesn't look damaged, but the tire shop will be able to tell for sure when they mount the new tire and try to balance it.

you will have to forgo the speakers doode, sorry. that tire will need replacing, i know, i'm in the same boat.
The Tire is probally not repairable. I'm sure i haven't told you anything new, but i think you should ask to watch them change the tire, it's interesting to watch and will probally enhance your understanding of the things you ride on.

i wanted a car stereo... but my tire has formed a bubbles as well... sigh.....

I bought four truck tires...

Free rotation, balancing, and flat repair... for life...

They even called a month after I had them installed to make sure I didnt have any problems...

I felt like sending them a thank you card (for calling) as not many businesses perform a follow-up, but I quickly lost interest...

I have wrinkles in all my tires. but that is not a wrinkle. It looks like your tire delaminated internally. Get both tires on that axle replaced. (left and right)

Aslong as your other tire is in decent shape changing one is fine. I wouldn't go with a different brand to save money though unless you change both.
