This should be called the "Lurker Chair" cuz your butt will have permanent ripples in it if you use it and Anandtech at the same time. At least we will be able to recognize you on the street, but only if we are walking behind you.


Seriously, it looks weird enough to really be comfortable. Nice in the Summertime as well when a leather chair just radiates heat back at you.

I've seen this chair for $270+ so as far as prices go seems like a good deal. I don't like the chair much though, I found it uncomfortable when i tried it earlier last year.

i've sat in this type of chair before. it's not too comfortable. you feel each "bungee" when you sit down.

sorry, i have to say it. you'd be better off with a nice leather chair. try HON furniture.

These chairs are really cool...

I have 2 at my apartment and all my friends love it.

Why?

Even though you feel the bungee at first, you'll find that later, you don't even remember they are there. The reason why the chair is comfortable is because ur ass is not sitting against a cushion glue to a hard piece of wood or metal. Thus, your bone in the ass is not sitting against a hard metal, even the best cushion, after a few hours, you can feel ur ass hurting because you sat down for too long. With this type of chair, you can sit there for over 10 hours and you will still be fine. I've sat here and work on programs for timeless hours and walked out of my chair without a pain. They are worth every penny if you get used to it... 10x better than leather executive chairs.

They have the Herman Miller Aeron chair at my local CostCO, but it is still at $599. Anyone know anywhere else cheaper???

Hal, you can get the imitation Aero chairs at overstock.com, but those arent full polyester mesh, they've got cloth or leather seats and polyester mesh backs.

Yup!......they tested this chair off a 200 foot bridge with a 400 lb. woman dummy in it. The chair "doinked" all the way back up to the top of the bridge, landed back on it, and the weight of the dummy blew a hole in the bridge. Cost them $80,000 to fix it.

The chair was unharmed.
