Would you still eat there if the reason the company was moving to Canada was so they could dodge taxes?
They might bring a job or two to Canada... Someone has to maintain the mailing address for the "headquarters", no?
Outside of food companies that make their base of operations in China and serve us sub-par food from there, I don't have much issue with dodging U.S. tax.
If they can get away with it, without degrading their product, I personally could not give two shits. I'm all for the "America! Fuck yeah!" movement, but I can't really get behind hating BK/TH for such a move.
Besides, Canada is such a
little bitch friend to the U.S., it really cannot be argued they are even moving operations. Moving to Canada is essentially moving to the non-American, America-light tax-base. If they can make that work, and continue to provide me my tasty donut holes and syrup-laced breakfast paninis, I'd let them take over the world.
What are they going to do? Force me to drink more coffee and eat more donuts and Canadian bacon? With their
Moose-laden Mounties Mountie-laden moose?
