Burning 12X Cd's @ 24X?

Will that cause problems and errors? (With the Plextor 24/10/40A)
I can't find any cd's that are higher than 12x here in Israel

I believe 12x cds are just garanteed to burn at 12x with no problems. However, this doesn't mean you can't burn them faster then what it says, they just aren't garanteed to always work. My friend burns 8x cds at 12x with no problems.

FWIW I used some Ricoh 12X CD-R's @ 24X on a TDX 24x10x40. No problemo.

try them out. if it works great. if it doesnt then u might have to burn at 16x (most 12x cdrs can burn at 16x)

I burn 8x Hypermedia (those discs everybody grabbed from Outpost before they started charging for shipping) at 24x without any problems.
