burning dvd's

My Old discs do 4X, the new ones I just bought do 8X

I don't think anyone would do 6X
They could just do either 8 or 4 since I never heard a drive or a disc that support a max of 6x

I've burned at least 500 DVDs in the last 2 years.

Less than 50, at anywhere from 1x - 4x. I primarily use DVD-RW's though, but even they don't get much use.

Less then 10, only had it for a few weeks. Half the time deciding what software to use.

too much work my friend, too much work. just pick 500, it could be 600 or 700 but because most peole don't burn much it makes no logical sense
I've burned about 500 to 600, not sure of the numbers
i've thrown away at least half of it because it gets sloppy and messy.
burned some at 4x, 6x and 8x althought most 8x I burned are coaster.

I can tell you that it's addictive. I have about 800 dvd-r unburned, in 6 months or so it will all be use up. lol. i'm dvd's crazy!!!

You're deciding what software to use??? Use nero my friend, it's the best.

Nero for creating CD/DVDs from scratch
Alcohol for copying/burning DVD/CD-images
