My two cents:
I was able to get CC to drop to $450 without much hassle, of course they said they couldn't come near the $239 from BB when I showed them the print out. I love the TV though, definitely worth $450. I had been holding out for HDTV prices to drop, but from what I've been reading, they are going to end up screwing current HDTV owners when they add the copy protection format scheme in the next couple of years.
For those of you who can't get CC to pricematch, here's an alternative I found. Bluelight.com has the
Panasonic TV for $499.99, as someone pointed out earlier. The drawback is that shipping is $80. However, there is a 10% off coupon floating around that still works (I went through checkout and everything) that takes off $50. If you go through ebates, you'll get another $10 or so off, so you're paying $470 in the end, shipped. One caveat, though, if you're planning on pricematching, Amex will probably pricematch from $450, and not $499, so you'll end up losing like $40 (as their max match is $250) on shipping fees. Hope this is useful.
