Zawahiri, otoh.....

And the two of them are thick as thieves.

there you go again with that "cut and run" nonsense... too funny! did you ignore most of this thread and just repost that rhetoric to bump it up?

Just like someone saying the NYT should be tried for treason over and over and over, when they didn't even disclose any classified info??????

i hope that you're not referring to me because my only contention was that there should be a full investigation into the leak, and those responsible for the leak and publication of classified data, on both sides, should be prosecuted.

so I hope your point was directed at someone else.

good.

It is no more disingenuous than the people who blather about Bush critics wanting to "cut and run" from Iraq.

At least until it was proven the info was already out there, that it wasn't classified, etc.. Then the thread just kind of died. :Q

Might even say he cut and ran!

I believe that you're comparing apples to oranges.

i was referring to Conjob and his minions who buy into some tinfoil-hat-related theory that Bush somehow/someway directed the entire intelligence world to foget all about OBL...completely. are you one of those?

ps: disingenuous does not mean "naive"... not when used properly anyways.

actually, no. i simply insisted that there be a full investigation. the publication of classified information IS treason, but if the investigators determine that no such disclosure occurred, then all is well and the NYT can go on with it's regularly scheduled agenda in peace. I simply want to see an investigation into the matter to find out the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

So, I call shens... here are a few excerpts from the last few posts I made on that topic. every other word was "treason" you say? I call bullsh1t:

EXHIBIT A:

it IS treason, even if only in a minor capacity....but you are right, there is no need to call for anyone's blood just yet. All i am asking is that a full investigation is done so that the perps on both sides of the story are brought to justice, if necessary. Just as with the outing of Plame!

What's wrong with the desire for a full investigation? like i said 5 times now, I want the guy who leaked to details to hang too!

EXHIBIT B:
Originally posted by: palehorse74
1) I was/am upset about the Plame situation, and never once complained about the ensuing investigation; but, that example only begs the question: "Why investigate that leak to the fullest extent possible, but not this one?" It is my opinion that a full investigation should be launched into the banking database issue leak. The findings may result in the prosecution of the government leaker AND the editor who chose to publish the info. Such a result would be entirely fine by me! or perhaps both sides will be acquitted of any wrongdoing... so be it. But, to declare the total innocense of the NYT, without an investigation similar to the Plameleak investigation, is just plain ignorant.

Imagine if this CIA unit tracked down Bin Laden. They would get a lot of glory for it.

Remember how the CIA let America down in the run up to the invasion of Iraq. They wouldn't sign off on much of the evidence that suggested Saddam was pursuing WMD. When it comes to going to war, every branch of the government needs to be a team player. Because of their past resistance to their President's will, the CIA doesn't deserve any credit in finding Bin Laden.

like you Conjob, Mr. Masri and Mr. Saidi each have an agenda. the sad fact of the matter is just how well your agenda matches theirs!

What are you talking about? His cover story makes perfect sense. He admittedly speaks almost no English, but likes to speak a little bastardized arabic/english mix every once in a while. Hell, I speak some spanish and a little japanese. When I talk to my friends, I like to mix it up using all 3 in a sentence, just for giggles.

Golden Member quoted on page 4:

"it's real cute when you guys rush to defend your leftist brethren even when they commit overt acts of treason... no, really, it's cute."

and that is just one quote from that thread...

you see Palehorse, the problem with spewing bullsh!t and lies is that it is hard to keep track of it all.

Lies and spin are what all of us smart people are tired of from people like you. Smart people know that it is MUCH easier to talk truthfully, you should try it sometime.

You may or may not remember a book titled "October Surprise". It had to do with all sorts of issues leading up to the elections in 1980. The one Reagan won... hehehe.. and Bush the Elder's travels along with the other folks involved with the Reagan White House. The hostage issue that finally ended as Carter was moving his belongings to Georgia....

Well... don't be too surprised if long about 2008 a mumified OBL suddenly appears with fresh goats blood and bullet holes darting his corpse ... look for something like that oh... maybe mid or so October 2008....

edit... dang i've forgotten how to insert a link...

this is some pretty interesting stuff that 26 years ago can be revisited on us

I'm still waiting on conjob the liar to produce where the CIA was told to quit looking for Bin Laden. I see more lies and BS from him in this thread followed by the usual Pavlovian braying and bleating of the anti-Bush herd but I see no proof of where anyone was told to quit looking for bin Laden.

I guess conjob is the new Jason Leopold.

Certainly does make one wonder why Bush is so willing to let bin Laden roam free and state that he's not concerned with him.

The very first words out of your mouth, in your very own selective quoting, is "it IS treason, even if only in a minor capacity..."

See, with your boundless "legal knowledge" (or perhaps you were still getting your legal advice from the NY Times at that point), you'd already decided it WAS treason, but were able to hold back the spittle spewing just long enough to suggest a somewhat reasonable course of action. Which would have made sense too, if it wasn't shown time and time again that the information that the NY Times printed was widely known and widely talked about by the administration.

Do you ever get tired of being wrong and pwning yourself?

I believe the "most wanted list" is published as a vehicle to aid in the capture of the accused. I doubt OBL is somewhere in the USA waiting to be fingered by a neighbor who just saw his mug on the wall at the post office.

Edit: A glance at the FBI most wanted terrorist list shows OBL as the #1 terrorist. Evidently hating Bush and believing Conjob's ridiculous lies affects one's eyesight or do you believe that he's not related to 9/11?
