*notices no "neo-cons" in this thread calling for the ban of said film*

*notices several self-declared enemies of the "neo-cons" wishing that this tale of assassination was true*

*wonders which of the aforementioned several people considers themselves morally superior to the "neo-cons"*

I'm sure you'll soon find some nonsensical relativistic justification that because Bush is supposedly a murderer that their hopeful dreams of his demise are warranted. The liberati are as bloodthirsty as any accused "neocon". This thread is sadly typical.

If you knew that one man would kill 50,000 and you could stop him would you feel some moral obligation to do something about it

Have to tried to stop him yet? Surely your defense can be morally justified. Don't be a coward, do what your conscience tells you is right!

I've been wishing him dead for 6 years, so far no harm has come to me. It's not against any law to think the planet would be better off with someone not on it...it's only illegal if you act on it.

I didn't want to say anything about those saying such. But they are the same people who will jump off a bridge if the president says to do so......

When it comes to a death threat against someone as important as the President, the mere mention of such a threat, were it to be known to the Secret Service, would send a few agents to your house.

a) He didn't wish the President dead.

b) Wishing someone dead isn't the same as threatening to kill him. I would be happy, for example, if Don Rumsfeld died a horrible, painful death from stomach cancer, but I would never inflict physical harm on him.

No matter how I personally feel about the film's subject matter, I don't think that it should be banned or anything silly like that. Let's see what it's about, and then judge it on it's merits.

Hopefully our friends on the left side of the political spectrum will give "The Path to 9/11" just as much of a chance and not decry it's contention that the Clinton administion bungling and inaction was a direct contributor to 9/11.

No, though I don't doubt someone at least glances at it for credibility. In all my extremist postings about wishing Bushco (and in fact all neocons and pnacers) dead, discussing possible strategies for use in a revolution, etc I have yet to receive any contact. I'd bet money that at least a few people have forwarded my info to the authorities on more than one occassion. I'm very open about who I am and where I live too, so they could very easily find me. They obviously have a pretty specifc criteria of who gets the nod for further investigation.

Again, no matter how much you talk ABOUT it, unless you actually threaten to do it you're fine.

That's what I meant........ THREATENING to kill the President is the best way to get the authorities knocking on your door............ though I doubt the government is looking on the Anandtech forums.......

I'm so happy this is comming out. The sad thing is that it is not true of course. I will personally for free advertise this movie for whatever company.

Go back home to France and leave us all in peace.

You must be part of that 33% that i've been searching for that actually likes president bush. You know the percent that still thinks slavery exist preach the bible all day and lives in the south.

Whether I like Mr. Bush or not is in no way relevant. The fact that you wish death upon the President of the United States is enough to show how blind you are to your surroundings. Whether you live in France or somewhere else in Europe, or heck even the Middle East, you're an idiot regardless.

b) Wishing someone dead isn't the same as threatening to kill him. I would be happy, for example, if Don Rumsfeld died a horrible, painful death from stomach cancer, but I would never inflict physical harm on him.

Suppose that is a distinct difference.

Yet, I never wanted ?your? president dead. That kind of seething hatred is dangerous, if that is what is fueling this countries? political debates. It appears to me then that only our political system stands between us and civil war at this point. For if you weren?t waging such a hate filled war against your enemy through politics, then it?d easily be a war waged on our streets instead.

Laughable to think that you could/would take action beyond the scope of your keyboard.....typical liberal.

Liberals are far more hateful than any "neocon". Seems like they're angry just for being alive, and like the terrorists, can never be appeased.
