Yeah... I'm French alright

I'm glad you were in NATO, but to say that Iraq was not a terrorist nation is foolish.

However, I am going to the "Big Boy" and end this argument. See you around, Klixxer.

Doesn't really matter, this is a war, even though it was declared over a long time ago, the flowers turned into bullets and every day someones father, son, brother, sister, mother or daughter die in Iraq, that is only counting those who matters, not the Iraqis, the ones who are supposed to be liberated.

Soon the power will be turned over to the Iraqis, erm, no, not for the security or law enforcement, not for the legal system of course, but the, eh, power.

Thank god the Iraqis are now liberated so they can follow ehhhh, well someone else than Saddam that they don't want to follow.

Luckily, you have no say in anything that goes on in Iraq. The next time your country gets the balls to get involved in world politics, you can start bashing our foreign policy.

I did five years in battle zones as a NATO officer, how about you?

Next time your country decides to start a war based on obvious lies and misinformation, maybe your wife will loose her husband, then she can start praising your foregin policy, until then, keep your mouth shut little one.

Who the hell cares about your damn NATO status. Your country and others where profiting under the food for oil program and didn't want it too stop, therefore would have voted against any action against Iraq no matter how many resolutions Iraq was not in compliance with. That pretty much makes your beloved NATO as useful as dogsh1t.

Thank you, very nice of you to insult me for being a part of that organization started by the US to protect the freedom of the US and the western free world. I applaud your courage!

In other words : I'm Rick James from Germany, bitch!

In other words, i have been to three hot zones and given the best part of my life and my self in battle, you owe me nothing. But don't tell me that i did it for nothing.

It kinda bugs me.

In other words, what did YOU being a NATO officer have to do with anything previsously mentioned? And who the hell said YOU did do it for nothing? And who insulted YOU?

Hmm, you notice this trend, it seems to be all about YOU.

KK

What did i do? I did what i were deployed to do, i was ONLY deployed in war zones, three of them, you can probably figure it last site was Afghanistan, and sure, i only did it for me, because that is why you sign up for duty in war zones, only for me.

You have insulted me twice now. And i thank you again. you see, i do not care about little punks like yourself, that this world is full of to thank me, i KNOW what i have done, i don't need you to be thankful for fighting for your country, i just do what i do.

One day you will grow up too, maybe you will do the same?

Ok, now that I know you can not answer a damn question I asked. I can see that you are still full yourself.
Yeah, you do what you do, but you make sure everyone around you knows about it. Talk about being humble.

Touched a nerve?

This should have touched a nerve with eveyone or most everyone from both parties, The bodies in the American flag covered coffins should not be used the way some are using them on this forum. When I see them I do not think it is bad for Bush or Bad for Kerry and to do so is wrong, I was in war and I just think of the families

For some reason, Klixxer grates on my nerves. To act like you understand a foreign government's politics and nuances just because you've served in NATO is a bit...over the top, to put it gently. I served in the first Gulf War and actually had a pretty extensive last 4 years of my 10 year Army career. I never pretend to understand what goes on with a host country's politics. Germany as a nation has had a not-so-flowery history, a far darker history than anything within the U.S.'s past...sounds like the pot is calling the kettle black, IMO. Not a personal attack, just an observation.

On the whole, I've had bad experiences with Europeans on the internet. I'm active within the IRC community and once people find out that I've served with the U.S. military, some (mainly the Europeans) get standoff-ish, while others actually go into attack-mode. I'm wondering why Europeans get so bent out of shape over things that really really have no effect on them. What does me, as a military veteran, or an American, have to do with your views. Why the hostility. Why take your frustrations out on someone you don't even know in real life?

It'd be nice to have an intelligent (and non-subjective) converation on this board, but I don't think that's remotely possible, with non-U.S. citizens showing their ire and with liberals and repubs virually throttling themselves.

LOL!

See below, a direct quote of what I posted:

Germany as a nation has had a not-so-flowery history, a far darker history than anything within the U.S.'s past...sounds like the pot is calling the kettle black, IMO.

What Americans in that era did to the Native Americans (not Indians) does NOT compare to what Nazi Germany did to the Jews.

You missed my point. I never said that Americans weren't at fault with anything. I'm saying that Klixxer should worry about other things besides U.S. politics, since he obviously thinks he knows more about it that U.S. citizens do. He's also pointing out faults about our government and our history when his own country has had its faults. Finger-pointing in this discussion is childish, especially in light of what Nazi Germany did in WWII.

Please try to grasp what you've read before responding...
