<< What ABM treaty??? Didn't the country that signed that treaty with us collapse under it's own oppresive weight?
Sheez, that's like trying to get a warrantee honored at a company that has GONE OUT OF BUSINESS!
Can't you just hear the phone call?
"Hello, this is America, we're calling to validate the condidtions of this treaty we signed 30 years ago."
BEEP "This number is no longer in service, if you belived you have reached this message in error, please try your call again.....Message 487d34" >>
I hope you realize that Russia still has an arsenal of 5000+ nuclear missiles... and some of them are MIRV types, and, well, I hate to ruin if for you, but it's kinda hard to shoot down a warhead that's already detached itself from the missile body. It's a really good thing that Putin still decided to go through with the agreement on cutting down the number of missiles to somewhere between 1500-2200. But if it ever comes down to a nuclear war, which it probably won't, at least I hope it won't, and Russia launches, I want to be a in a bunker a couple hundred meters underground. Some people seem to think that the missile defense shield will stop any nuclear attack; it won't, it's capable of stopping several nuclear missiles only. And I don't like the fact that the defense missiles seem to be unable to hit the target 50% of the time because I live 2 blocks away from Beckmann Institute (center for supercomputing applications).
