Yes, I quite understand the difference. Bush had a whole term and a half as Gov. of Texas. In that timeframe, what were his accomplishments? Bet you could count them on two fingers.Originally posted by: tcsenter
What back pedaling? My point remains untarnished. While legislative office is surely better than a trial lawyer as prior experience qualifying one to hold the top executive branch office, it is a far cry from governor as commensurate experience qualifying one to hold the exact same position in the executive branch of a larger political unit (state vs. country). You do understand the difference between the executive and legislative branches of government, yes?LOL! Back-pedaling and then changing direction, eh? And you still have an incredibly lame foundation for your claim.
It's known Bush had a drinking and drug problem. Where've you been?Ok, well, whatever you "think"....I think Bush's drinking and drug problems were more to blame than any "risk" in the business ventures.

He is running for VICE PRESIDENT. Good god. His job is to receive reports on the President's health and to break a tie vote in the Senate.
Bush's suggestive comment, from which all discussion has hitherto flowed in this thread, was that Edwards was not qualified to be President. For the record, I don't think Edwards is "not qualified' to be Vice President. Also, Edwards is NOT running for President. He's the V.P. candidate. His resume was still better-looking than Bush's when comparing the two in their 1st runs at the Oval Office.

It is wholly your speculation that either of which influenced the success of his business endeavors. Let's get it together!

As if Cheney does only that??
The point of my argument is readily apparent, if you go back and read. And, what's the point of your argument, then, if you "don't think Edwards is 'not qualified' to be Vice President"? Just trolling?
