The social problems in Florida are almost as bad as those in Texas. We do have a fairly high illegal immigrant population, but we also have a very high legal immigrant population. All immigrants pose challenges to school resources and health care.

While admitting the problems in Texas are quite difficult the real question is this: Has Bush done anything to improve education and healthcare in Texas? I don't think so. But then many Democratic governors have had similar failings.

The problem is money. We have been living in a period during which each candidate must promise to reduce taxes or fear being defeated at the polls. As a consequence, we have lousy voting machines, lousy schools, lousy roads, etc. But we seem to have enough money for prisons and guards and police.

Governments must always spend our money prudently, but they must also have enough of it. Texas legislators aren't about to raise taxes to fix their problems. And the U.S. Congress won't give the border states extra money to assist in caring for the influx of illegal aliens. Thus, we shouldn't expect to see these problems solved any time soon.

Actually it is a big deal. Until this country changes the views of &quot;Reverse Racists&quot; we shall always have a problem in this arena. I have no problem with with you because of your skin color. I have a problem with you demanding a bigger piece of the American Pie because of a skin color.

I'm guessing you're the type that would walk into my office and call me a fake because I would treat you as an equal. It just grates on a person like yourself with your pent up bias to have a Whitey treat you in such a manner.

This fight between me and classy started back in a gun control thread. He stumbled into the discussion and started attacking rather than discussing, ruining a perfectly good conversation. He sounded truly eneducated to me, so I called him ghetto trash, not knowing he was black. He immediately labeled me a racist. I guess he think ghettos are only for black people. Maybe he really isn't racist against whites, but he's racist against blacks?

Hey, I don't pretend to understand the guy, except to know that he's got his head so far up his ass he could lick his own stomach from the inside.
