HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEHHE HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHHOHO HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA NANANANAANANA

BUSH RULES, R'S RULE. The Americans have just climbed out of EIGHT years of being captive in the bowels of HELL. Are we ready for more money in our paychecks? Everyone who wants to keep more of his paycheck (which actually equates to the governement stealing less of your personal time because you won't have too work additional hours to support so many of those money munching, Socialist politicians who feed off the working class) vote yes!

How could this happen, maybe, just maybe, people are waking up..

Ah Phooey.... my candidate lost already. Being a person that leans more towards the Libertarian party, I voted for Harry Browne/Art Olivier. Okay, okay, I admit, I didn't expect them to win, but... you've got to vote your concience, right? It's a good thing that I love all the folks with TA, or I'd probably be cracking for the Libertarians for Privacy team. :Q

Hey, since you guys like stats so much... check out the World's Smallest Political Quiz and tell me where you fall. You *might* just be a bit surprised.

Thunder,
That quiz is interesting. I ended up being a Centrist, right on the corner between Libertarian and Right Conservative. :Q

Well Thunder you aren't the only Libertarian here. I think a few of those wackos from washington state have liberatarian leanings I also tend to lean libertarian (even did about half my first months of blocks for the libertarian team)

Neh, Nader is just a weird guy. I think gore's better.

the only thing i can say about bush is that it looks nicer when (s)he's shaved

'noug fun. Bush will accept any kind off pollution as long as it makes money, and i hate that. Just look at wat the oil company's can do in texas. glad i'm not living there.

Not to mention that the last of the HCFC refrigerants will phased out....only in the US that is. Watch out when you need to replace that AC unit!

I knew I should have invested in Allied Chemical!

wel Viztech, those refrigerants are forbidden in europe for quite some time now, and europe isn't broke (yet)...

Networkman: If you want to have a look at the local gas and oil prces in europe, you'll see that the are almost five times as high as in the US. So you're all spoiled to the bone

Loenix-

You may be thinking about CFC refrigerants (R-11, R-12 and a few others), which are now only manufactured in Mexico here in North America, and a significant smuggling item I might add.

HCFCs such as R-22, are still the mainstay of the air conditioning industry. The phase-out of which will happen by 2020, but can be accelerated by the executive branch here in the US, when suitable substitutes exist.

Which country are you in?

born in the US (Springfield, Ohio), and living in europe...
Does it matter where?

I was indeed thinking about the old refrigerants... wat's wrong with the one that where using today then? I thought that all new refrigerators should be enviromental "friendly"

WOW! What will come of all this? The lawsuits are starting to pour in. Several states are being looked at for various reasons. Not only for presidential reasons but for senate seats too. Will we see riots? This is bad. Gore wins the popular vote but Bush wins the election (maybe). That in itself is a mind blower. The funny thing is that I heard some rumblings that the GOP was planning on lawsuits to challenge just such an outcome if it would have been the other way around.

I bet there is a major push to abolish the Electoral College either way (getting rid of that has been my opinion for a very long time). It has always stuck out as a way for government to tell the people they know better than we what is best for us.

I think it will be interesting to see what political ties are envisioned between ol' Jeb Bush and ballot makers in the counties deploying the tricky ballot.

Here in Iowa they are considering a re-count too. Of course they claim the decision isn't based on the Florida outcome but no decision has been made yet either! What the hell are they waiting for?!!! More political garbage is all I see! If Gore ends up on top they will push every other envelope they can find. I'm willing to bet the same will be done if Bush comes out on top too. It sure is a crazy election!

19000 votes disqualified by multiple punches on the ballots in Florida! Now talk about some voter pain! That is more than 10 times the number of votes currently determining who our net president will be. I just don't get why this couldn't have been foretold. Is it just not obvious after hundreds of years of elections how ballots should be made? Something is real underhanded here. IMHO!

The fallout and finger pointing has yet to truly begin. A nation so sharply divided will clash much more than ever seen before (at least in living times). Will the strong economy stifle it? Hmmm, we will see.

Hope there are alot of UT servers up, people are going to need them!

The difference is down to 795 votes with 22 counties yet to report. What kind of hell will be raised if this ends up being won/loss by less than 10 votes?

Wow! Thunder, I fell right into the middle of "libertarian"!

About the 19,000 voters who screwed up their ballot, do we want those who cannot operate a voting booth properly deciding the course of our nation? Scary isn't it? I saw the ballot in question, and It doesn't look too confusing to me.In fact, my ballot was very close to that one in appearance, as I recall. Those little holes are close together.......

Both parties have sent lawyers to (poor) FLA now, this is going to get very, very ugly. D.N.C. just stated today that this is just the beginning of a larger project to 'check the votes, and voting procedures in many places'. This can't be good.

You know, I have looked at the ballot from Florida, and if someone couldn't figure that out, I think it's kind of funny. If people were confused, they should have asked the people working Although it does look like Bush will win--and he is the candidate that I want to win--I feel the electoral college is doing an injustice. A plurality (albeit extremely small) voted for Gore. However, as Gore has admitted, the Constitution must be respected. If Bush does win, the electoral college must be abolished, or modified so that it is not a winner-take-all system.
