1. "You work three jobs? Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that you're doing that." (Bush speaking to a divorced mother of three, Omaha, Nebraska, Feb. 4, 2005)
2. "Yes, Peter. Are you going to ask that question with shades on?... I'm interested in the shade look, seriously.... For the viewers, there?s no sun." (Bush ribbing partially blind reporter Peter Wallsten, June 14, 2006)
3. "The point now is how do we work together to achieve important goals. And one such goal is a democracy in Germany." (Bush in Washington, D.C., May 5, 2006)---HUH????
A democracy in Germany is a goal in 2006???? What does Bush think the government is in Germany right now...a dictatorship? Doesn't Germany have free elections and numerous parties from which the leadership is elected or am I missing something??
4. "I'm not the expert on how the Iraqi people think, because I live in America, where it's nice and safe and secure." (Bush in Washington, D.C., Sept. 23, 2004)
5. "I believe that a prosperous, democratic Pakistan will be a steadfast partner for America, a peaceful neighbor for India, and a force for freedom and moderation in the Arab world." (Bush in Islamabad, Pakistan, which is not known for being part of the Arab world, on March 3, 2006)
Just gotta hand it to Bush......never ceases to amaze and dumbfound everyone all the time. Possibly he should just read from the script they write for him.....ad libs are NOT his strongest suit. But, then again, neither is public speaking......
