Cabela's is running their 50th Anniv. sale this week and last, and one of the items I picked up was the Bushmaster .223 rifle w/ red dot for $649.99. Hell of a deal on an awesome gun. Already took it to the range and I was hitting targets at 100 yards no problem without adjusting anything.
Damn, that's really cheap for a Bushmaster.
It's a good deal. The Carbon-15 is usually $700 online. Factor in $25 for shipping and another $20-$50 FFL fee depending on area and you're saving some money.
Great price, wish it was around when I was shopping around for an assault rifle a few years back. Not much more than the somewhat inferior AK-74 (fires the Soviet equivalent of the .223, the 5.45x39mm).
I've heard thaT the 7.62x39 will stop an auto or truck engine , the 5.45/.223
not so much ...
The 5.45 is designed to maim, the injury is much nastier when it starts tumbling inside your flesh rather than punching a straight hole through you. It is also much more accurate than the 7.62.

I also didnt think its that great of deal and didnt see anything in the add i would buy. Can put together your own custom ar15 for about 600 bux.
This...
Check out the reviews of the Carbon on the various gun forums. They are not very positive.
I've built two AR15s. One for about $750 (including BUIS, scope, and red dot) and another for about $550 with holo and scope. I'd go into any zombie apocolypse with either of the two builds.
I'm thinking of the exact thing, building my own and the zombie apocalypse. However, I kinda favor a 12 gauge shotgun for blasting zombie heads...any thoughts?
but the size is still a .22 size bullet! it's one of the smaller rounds! I think that's why discovery channel had that whole ordeal on the new LWRC, with the 6.8 rounds providing more kinetic energy
is it free ship and free ffl? still have to pay ffl no matter what you buy hahaha
