Yeah yeah yeah I did the Bush Sr book report when I was in 3rd grade. However best American alive today?! That's a pretty bold statement. I don't think I've ever heard anyone make that kind of statement. There's like 310 million Americans and Bush Sr is our best man???

Well, if you believe you have better candidates then name them.

Salon is not "some blog" and the writer has a deep understanding of past elections and has written books on the subject.

Now if you would like to counter his argument I'm sure you can't point to data backing up your claim and we can examine YOUR sources.

Counter his blog arguement? That's too hard. I surrender.

I figured, that's your usual MO. You are just one step above your buddy incorruptible.

The idea that a couple of partisan blog articles reveals the ***TRUTH****!!!11!! about the Clinton/Bush Sr./Perot election match up is laughable, so why bother?

You know what's ironic about your post? Is that anytime you wish to post sources they, more often then not, come from partisan blog sites. So I guess it's good enough for you but not good enough for anyone else.

OT
Well the two amigos have posted, I wonder when the third will show up?

Wow, a blog, that's gotta be 100% true then. Asshat. Plus it's written by someone with 15 year old HTML skills. Got any pictures of bigfoot you want to put up as fact next?

Once again, don't attack the arguments, attack the messenger.

AKA: You got nothing, and know it. Typical right wing troll.

So you have any proof to defend your claim? I didn't think so.

EDIT: From wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_1992

The effect of Ross Perot's candidacy has been a contentious point of debate for many years. In the ensuing months after the election, various Republicans asserted that Perot had acted as a spoiler, enough to the detriment of Bush to lose him the election. While many disaffected conservatives may have voted for Ross Perot to protest Bush's tax increase, further examination of the Perot vote in the Election Night exit polls not only showed that Perot siphoned votes nearly equally among Bush and Clinton,[26] but of the voters who cited Bush's broken "No New Taxes" pledge as "very important," two thirds voted for Bill Clinton.[27] A mathematical look at the voting numbers reveals that Bush would have had to win 12.2% of Perot's 18.8% of the vote, 65% of Perot's support base, to earn a majority of the vote, and would have needed to win nearly every state Clinton won by less than five percentage points.[28] Furthermore, Perot's best results were in states that strongly favored either Clinton or Bush, or carried few electoral votes, limiting his real electoral impact for either candidate. Perot appealed to disaffected voters all across the political spectrum who had grown weary of the two-party system. NAFTA played a role in Perot's support, and Perot voters were relatively moderate on hot button social issues.[29][30]

404 Evidence that Perot cost Bush the election not found.

I bet Matt1970 will claim this is all a liberal conspiracy to make Bush1 look bad though, and will go sulk until he can post again his "thoughts" and claim them as fact.

Gotta love Incorruptible who claims to be the smartest knife on this forum, still making that claim, as the majority of this forum regards Incorruptible as anything but smart.

And then Incorruptible is triply amazed when he posts quite dubious statements like Bush=Obama, and Romney=Obama, and can't possible understand why no one accepts his Statement as unquestionably true. As we come back full circle that Incorruptible is the smartest knife on this forum.

After that I don't want to target anyone, but if we can't share a common logic on this forum, rational discussion is futile.

Bush was was a responsible man and moderate unlike his son a ignorant cowboy with something to prove. Even made up term to describe last 40 years of crap republican economics for us. "trickle down"

Didn't like his nafta ideas but like he put 10,000 crooked bankers in prison for S&L failings instead of reward them and sweep it under rug like Bush/Obama has done.
