I prefer margarine. It's easier to put on bread, and it's healthier.
What about you?
I used to eat only butter, and more over the summer. Then my doctor said he wanted to put me on statins and I stopped butter cold. I haven't bought any margarine yet or similar pseudo butter, but I don't know if I'm going to buy any more butter. It's been mainly olive oil in terms of fat for me that I add to food in my kitchen. I cut out cheese too. Two months later my blood cholesterol had dropped like a stone.
I switched to an Atkinsesque diet including very low carbs, lots of meat, butter, fruit, and veggies. My blood cholesterol also dropped like a stone. I avoid hydrogenated anything including margarine and avoid HFCS. Exercise also helps of course.
