Not sure if this has been posted already and if it has, please remove it moderators. I received a few Costco coupons a while back and one of them was for a Buy 1, get 1 free offer on a 100 pack spindle of TDK 80min CD-R's. TDK is the only brand that I use (CD-R and DVD+R's), so I was pleasantly surprised by this. There is no limit so I grabbed 4 100 packs for $49.98. A great deal if you ask me, 400 CDs for around $.10 a piece.

About 13 cents a disc. Not bad if you don't like fiddling with rebates, but for those Ferengi amongst us there are many more FAR deals to be found...

The thing is, there are no rebates. It's an instant offer. On my receipt it rung up $24.99 for each, then took off $49.98 at the bottom. You walk out with one free. I wouldn't have gotten them if they were by MIR.

The coupons are at the door as you walk in. They're black and white, except the black is blue (so I guess it's blue and white).

These TDKs used to be made in Japan, ie. Taiyo Yudens. But I'm pretty sure they are all from Taiwan now.

Yup. All the one's I've gotten over the past year or so have been made in Taiwan. But they actually work pretty good. Almost as good as TYs.

yep, they've been all Taiwan for a yr or 2 now @ all 3 of my local costcos.

Yes. I like TY the best, but Ritek is second best in my book. Way better than CMC magnetics IMO.

this is a great deal if you hate reabtes. I might pick up a few. I got paid about $15 from the last time I bought cdrs. tdks at staple. but that deal probably won't come back for a while.

i just checked disk info in nero.. turns out to be the same as the typical generic CMC Magnetics 6

CMC Magnetics? Made in China? These must be the crappiest disks. I bought 5+5=10 of them (not for myself, I've got plenty of TYs), so maybe it's about the time I go return them.
