Anyone have a phone number for buy.com? They actually still have the item available on their site but under a different SKU number (search for Kingston and you'll find it). It even has the same rebate on there but it's more expensive. I'm calling them on it and would do so over the phone if they had a number on their website anywhere I could find...

Tried emailing them and got no response. Sucks they have my CC info and address still stored on their servers. Try BBB.org, I think they have a number listed for their company.

I hope that's the right buy.com

The reason is usually about 10% off coupon. I don't want to save 10%, so they are ok with me.

I didn't use any coupon or anything. Just went to the "Deal of the Day" page and purchased the item directly from there. No codes, No anything.

Didn't use the 10% coupon. Did get the free shipping. Then again there are ppl who got both to work and get their cards. Guess we won't ever get an answer from buy.com just automated messages...

So they randomly canceled ppl's orders and then lies about it being unavailable while selling it at a higher price (55.99$). This just tells me that buy.com is pulling a bait and switch.

they just sent me an email saying they are still looking for the card, so I requested a cancelation as the rebate has to be sent in 15 days AFTER PURCHASE DATE, I don't think my sucky free shipping will get it here on time, and they wouldn't let me change my shipping address so I had to send it to my parents house which is about an hour away. I really dislike dealing with buy.com, I have never had good experience with them, but others have, so it is a toss up and this deal was so good I decided to bite, and yet again I am left feeling dissapointed.

I cancelled my order after it didn't ship for 5 days...they 432 units in stock when I ordered. Was afraid that I wouldn't get it in time to mail the rebate. I searched around and found their customer service number - 877 780 2464 or 888 880 1030. Cancelling on the web doesn't guarantee it.

I sent off an email to Kingston too letting them know that buy.com is making Kingston look like an incompetent company. What result did you have frmo calling the number Shaz? THe item is still available on their website but it's under a different SKU and with a higher price. But it links to the exact same rebate form which lists the specific UPC of the item and it's the same rebate form from the Deal of the Day item so it is the exact same item.

Guess I'll give them a call and see what BS they try to push on me.

yeah i bought a 512 SD card a few days ago and then received an email saying they're supplier was out and so they cancelled the order. With a company that size, why can't they have real time inventory?

That's exactly the point. They DO have real time inventory. THey even had a counter on the screen telling you how many were left in stock when you placed your order. THen they come back and say they are out of stock.

But in this case they aren't out of stock, they still have the item on the website. It's a bunch of crap.

Actually Buy.com isn't necessarily all real-time. What I mean is some of the products listed on their site go through other "middlemen" before they reach you. For example, I have a friend who works for a SD memory company that occasionally fills orders placed by Buy.com so the products aren't stored in Buy.com's warehouses.

Thanks shazman, I'll call the number tomorrow morning, I wonder if they have memorial day off...

Just got off the phone with BUy.com

What they said is that their supplier said they didn't have the quantity and they should cancel the orders. Then magically the next day they got them in stock. The guy I spoke with told me to place a new order (price is now $9 more but free shipping) and he would request a credit of $9. During the "Deal" it was $46.99, and now it's $55.99. If they refuse the credit I'll just mark Return to Sender on the box and have my CC company kill the charge I guess.

Ah well. Probably the last time I order from buy.com.

just called them to confirm my cancellation, they were helpful until I mentioned that I want to cancel, then all of the sudden the system was down, and they didn't know when it would be back up. I called twice and got the same person both times. The second number oly gives busy signals, I hate these guys.

I've been through this before with multiplie buy.com items, also have shown sufficient quantity in stock but item doesn't ship, I wait, no ship, wait more, cancel. Add to that the situation with same items at higher prices elsewhere on the 'site and I just won't deal with buy.com anymore, their business tactics are just too substandard.
