Rossman, could you tell me more about shoppin.net--never heard of it. Looks like 10% is the maximum commission from buy.com, depending on the reimbursement they are getting...does this reflect what you actually receive from them? Anything else worth mentioning about this site? Might warrant its own thread, if there's nothing the mods would object to. Thanks!

Naturally.. when I used one of the ball/roller ones, I imagine it has that force feedback thing... As it bumps/skips over stuff on the rollers. 8+)

I have this mouse and am not really thrilled with it...

Unlike the Explorer which is curved, this one is straight
and overly big; can't get comfortable. I'd rather have
the old-style Intellimouse (white two-button with gray
wheel) with optical like the one they sell for $22.95
(sku=10219098).

Guess you can add something to that to get it over $30 and
then use the $10 off $30 code...

DaveH - I wish I could tell you more but all I know is what I've read in the shoppin.net FAQ. I recently signed up and definitely prefer eBates over these people but I'll give them a chance. Just like the old eBates you have to begin your shopping from their web site and use their e-mail address, both of which I did. I liked how semi transparent eBates was, but this place still has some details they need to work on.

My e-mail order confirmation took about 1.5 days to reach me, and they forwarded it to me instead of me receiving it directly from Buy.com (your credit card information ISN'T in the e-mail but it seems to take forever and is annoying).

I just now checked my balance at Shoppin.net and still haven't been credited, I'll give them about 2 more weeks.

My one and only reason for using shoppin.net was because getting 10% back was a lot more appealing than 2% from eBates.

Does anyone else have any experience with shoppin.net or can refer me to another thread here or elsewhere? Thanks.

One question, if you have to go thru shoppin.net, how can you still using the buy.com coupon link? Giving them shoppin.net address is enough?

Wei2Cool - No, you still have to use the old eBates trick:
1) Click the coupon link and add your merchandise to your cart.
2) Open a new web browser leaving the first one open. Go to shoppin.net, login, go to stores and select Buy.com
3) You should see the shoppin.net ad banner at the top with Buy.com beneath it. Click CART and your coupon and merchandise should be waiting for you.
4) Remember to use your shoppin.net e-mail address, otherwise you won't receive proper credit.

STAPLES will not pm this offer... they try to add $20 for overnight shipping thru staples and even with the coupon from staples it still comes to about $32 per mouse

Has anyone asked a CSR about the shipping charges. I tried to build a cart with the mouse plus over $100 in computer equipment and it still didn't give me free shipping. The mouse seems to NOT be coded as computer equipment for the $100+ free shipping deal.

Heh! I bought 3 from Staples today with PM and a pack of index cards for $55 shipped. At first, the rep said "We can only pricematch one." and I said "Can you point me to your policy where it says that?" and she said "Hold on." Then she came back and said, "Sorry about that. The manager says I can do all 3." Then she says, "The Buy.Com webpage seems to be down." and I replied, "I'm sitting here on a T1 connection and the site is NOT down." She says, "Oh, here it's loading up, but really slowly."

Finally, she gets me 3 for $24.99, I add index cards to go over $75 and then use the $25 off $75 coupon. She didn't mention anything about shipping, so I kept my mouth shut.

Sweet deal since I just paid $32 to get one from MS and that was using a $25 off $50 coupon. This is a far sweeter deal! I personally like this mouse better than the more expensive Explorer version. As to what I'll be doing with 4 optical mice, that's anyone's guess...

This mouse is nice to use. No more dirty mouse contacts to mess up the cursor movement. Some surfaces seem to cause some problems, but a decent mouse pad will fix that
