I like it because they have a distribution center about 3 hours from me. I order something in the afternoon, and it's delivered the next morning. All with stardard UPS shipping. No need for next day or 2 day. Really nice bonus. Good selection and decent prices to boot.

How can you beat their prices on books and movies? For quite a lot of stuff their new prices are cheaper then other places used prices. And with free shipping it makes the deal even better!

I have the same luxury since I am in Cedar Falls! Some stuff takes longer because the Illinois dist. center doesn't have everything.

I have definately been taking advantage of their recent price war with amazon, my last several purchases have been from buy.com, after about a year of not ordering from them. It seems cyclical between them and Amazon with the better deals. Winner= consumer

buy.com was good when i made my first online purchase...

just got my SlimX from them today...and it took a week to ship...but the sucker was USED!!!....it had scratches and was missing the warranty card and earbuds...hoping that i can get them to ship me a NEW unit and cover my return shipping charges on the used one....had such a hard time trying to find some contact info, and the only thing i could find was a stupid email form...anyone have any contact info for them???

One of their suppliers sent a returned item, how annoying. Why not try the "stupid email form"? I got a response to a customer service enquiry the next day.

Buy.Com is a good company. Unfortunately, the media mail option (free shipping) does take some time for the shipping process. It took well over a week for a book to travel from the west coast to the east coast for me. If you need a book quickly, upgrade the shipping and avoid the "free" media mail option.
